What is the greatest challenge confronting your web hosting business today, and how are you responding to that challenge?

The greatest challenge we face as a company is the fine balance to keep our service and support at a high level while also keeping our overhead down and pricing competitive.

 Keeping our service great and the customers happy is the easy part. We have done this by hiring only the best technicians, purchasing the best equipment and staying abreast of all of the latest technologies as they apply to our industry.

Overhead costs and pricing can be a difficult balance that we manage effectively by purchasing most of our server and equipment in bulk quantities.

Matrixreseller is very much a family business in every way. Our Owners work alongside both friends and family members in a fun and productive work environment every single day. Our Unix technicians work alongside our Windows technicians as well as our sales department and billing administrative staff which culminates into a very knowledgeable multi-tasking staff. Our largest selling plans are the H-SPhere based reseller plans using both Windows 2000 and FreeBSD operating systems. Being the largest H-Sphere host, we are also the most knowledgeable about the H-Sphere software and server-cluster management. We also have the largest H-SPhere cluster of servers of any other host in the world and growing everyday. On average we add about 1-2 servers every week. We run separate H-Sphere servers for mail servers, DNS servers, MS SQL, MY SQL, Site Studio, and servers for the H-SPhere panel itself. We also work very closely everyday with Psoft, the developers of the H-SPhere software. This close working relationship enables us to offer the best possible Reseller Hosting product while enabling Psoft to make significant improvements in the functionality of H-Sphere based solely on our direct input and our customers suggestions and feedback.

We also have the largest online collection of H-Sphere support documentation anywhere on the web in one convenient location. This extensive documentation includes Psoft, Matrix employee and end-user written tutorials covering every aspect of H-SPhere from beginner setup to very advanced features. We also have many step-by-step Flash movies that show every mouse click and screenshot for virtually every reseller and end-user function in H-SPhere.

In addition to our many H-Sphere based servers we also manage RedHat and FreeBSD servers running the latest CPanel 6 software for resellers who prefer a Unix-only reseller solution. Our Cpanel plans are very reasonably priced and offer both the popular X-Skin and Fantastico packages along with Web Host Manager to easily and efficiently manage the Cpanel plans and users. We feel that the Web Host Manager/Cpanel plans are a great and inexpensive alternative to those resellers not needing a Windows based hosting solution.

At present Matrixreseller services over 9000 H-SPhere users, spanning nearly 50,000 domains. Since adding our Cpanel reseller plans in January of 2003, we are currently servicing just over 1000 resellers on these plans.
