What is the future of web hosting and where do you see it going?

Web Hosting will continue to split into 2 types/groups of clients. One group will be the ones that want bulk, low price hosting. The other group will want high levels of support and customization but at a higher price. Unless a Web Hosting company is very large, most will need to focus on one or the other, as it is very hard to split technical support and customer service into two groups to cater to the need of the different groups of clients. So the gap between low-end hosts and high-end hosts will widen as the industry matures. The same has happened for the car industry with relatively low prices with Toyota and Nissan, and the much higher prices for Ferrari, Mercedes, Rolls-Royce, etc. Not to say either type of company is better (Toyota is one of the largest car companies), but the gap between will widen. It is up to a host to determine which type of company they want to be, otherwise they may turn into a "Jack of all trades, master of none".
